Scholarships at St. Lucie

Dr. Paul and Mary Ndarua Education Scholarships 2021

This scholarship has been set up by Dr. Paul and Mary Ndarua Education Foundation which has been running over the years but was made official in 2021. The Foundation was started by the founders of St. Lucie Kiriri Girls Secondary School and in line with our vision to provide high standards of education, aimed at producing productive and responsible citizens, The Scholarship fund is intended for academically gifted students who would otherwise not be able to attend the school without the support of the scholarship.

Each scholarship is a percentage of the annual tuition fees for the duration of the student’s time at St. Lucie Kiriri Girls Secondary School.

The scholarship is for two students per calendar year.

Criteria for Application

Dr. Paul and Mary Education Scholarships 2021 is open to all pupils from non-IAPS/KAIIS schools in East Africa. It is intended for academically gifted students.

As a guide these are the minimum expected results in final stage exams: –

  • Common Entrance – As/A*s
  • Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) – 400 marks and above

Scholarship Expectations

The beneficiaries of the Scholarship are expected to keep a consistent academic performance in all subjects throughout the duration of their scholarship. In addition, maintaining a high level of good conduct is also expected. Progress is reviewed termly and a comprehensive review is taken at the end of each academic year. The beneficiaries of the scholarship can expect a high level of support from the Education fraternity at St. Lucie, and they are encouraged to explore all opportunities provided at the school. Your all-around success is of paramount importance to the school.

Application Process:

Applicants should submit the application form together with a personal statement, and copies of previous school reports plus any other supporting documentation to add value to their application. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited for an interview – they should bring the following documents as part of their application process.

  • Certified copy of school leaving certificate.
  • Certified copy of your baptism/birth certificate.
  • Two passport-size photographs.
  • Medical Certificate from a registered doctor.
  • Certified copy of KCPE Result slip.
